Alfa Romeo to Debut the New 4C Spider at the Geneva Motor Show

It was first unveiled in Detroit at the beginning of 2015 and next week the European market will get its first look at the new 4C Spider at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The 4C Spider will be joined onstage by the 4C Coupe which enjoys a number of significant changes, including a wider range of options.

The new 4C Spider has a similar front end design to the Coupe, whilst the rear has been redesigned with a more pronounced structure, three heat extractors and a new rear spoiler. The 4C Spider will also have new covered projector style xenon headlamps and the option of a new vibrant yellow paint body colour ( see picture). On the inside of the new 4C Spider there will be the option of premium leather with accent stitching or traditional tan leather. A new audio system has wide ranging device connectivity including Bluetooth phone calling and music streaming.

Performance is key in the 4C Spider and the new model comes with a range of new options to suit individual driver's needs. An Akrapovič titanium exhaust system offers switchable modes which can be selected depending on the driving environment and driver inclination. A new carbon-fibre air intake system, engineered to provide additional transmission cooling for track-focussed drivers, is also an option as well as a number of all-new wheel designs including a 17/18-inch (front/rear) or 18/19-inch sizes and in silver or dark finishes. The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider will be powered by the same 1750 TBi engine as the 4C Coupe, and will have a top speed of 160mph. The 4C Spider is expected to go on sale in UK showrooms in summer this year and will be priced from £59,500 OTR.
