Audi announces the SQ5 TDI plus

Adding to the already powerful SQ5 TDI, the SQ5 TDI plus has more power, more torque and more equipment. The SQ5 is already special in that it is the first-ever diesel powered Audi S model while this upgrade cements its status as a practical SUV with genuine sportscar pace.

The V6 TDI engine in the SQ5 TDI plus produces 340PS, an increase of 27 PS compared to the current SQ5 TDI. Additionally, peak torque has been increased to 50Nm to 700Nm which enables the SQ5 TDI plus to achieve acceleration from 0 to 62mph in just 5.1 seconds on its way to an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. Up to 42.8mpg is potentially achievable with emissions of 174g CO2/km, which along with the generous torque are the only indications that this vehicle runs on diesel.

The SQ5 TDI plus delivers power to the road through quattro permanent all-wheel drive. For the first time on a Q5 model, sports differential on the rear axle distributes the drive power between the wheels.

Outside, gloss black 21-inch cast aluminium Audi Sport wheels in 5-twin-spoke star design emphasises the vehicles status along with an extrended black gloss package which includes the exterior mirror housings, door handles, roof edge spoiler and rear diffuser. Finally, two clasps join the four exhaust pipes in pairs.

Inside, diamond stitched Nappa leather upholstery furnish the sports seats while the sliding rear bench seat plus features as standard allowing you to increase luggage storage capacity.

The Audi SQ5 TDI plus opens for ordering later this year. To find out more, or to register your interest, contact your nearest Lookers Audi centre.
