Audi RS 6 and RS 7 Performance

The Audi RS range is about to reach new heights with the introduction of the Audi RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback performance models both boasting an impressive 605PS and torque up to 750Nm. Priced at £86,000 OTR for the RS 6 and £91,600 OTR for the RS 7, the performance models will be available to order from November with the first deliveries arriving in February.

Aptly named, the performance models easily accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds, an improvement of 0.2 seconds over the respective standard RS model. No only this, they can reach 0 to 124mph in just 12.1 seconds on their way to the goverened top speed of 155mph. The top speed can be increased as an option to 174mph, or 189mph with the dynamic package. The 4.0 TFSI engine offers a new overboost function which increases torque by 50Nm to 750Nm in total. The upgraded 4.0 TFSI features a specific engine management system with increased rpm and boost pressure to the Audi cylinder on demand system, which has the ability to activate four of the eight cylinders when under part load.

The eight-speed tiptronic transmission allows the driver to choose between modes D and S or change the gears manually via the selector lever or the shift paddles on the RS multifunction sport leather steering wheel. When driving in manual mode the driver information system or options head-up display shows the rev limit.

The RS 6 and RS 7 are also both equipped with quattro permanent all-wheel drive. This system allows 40% of the power to the front axle and 60% to the rear with the wheel-selective torque control intervening when required. Standard RS adaptive air suspension lowers the body of the vehicles bringing you even closer to the road. The integrated damping control also changes depending on the road condition, driving style and the mode in Audi drive select. Alternatively, you could choose the tauter RS sports suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control. Whatever option you decide on, both can be enhanced with optional dynamic steering with a continuously variable steering ratio.

You are always in complete control of the vehicle and have the opportunity to control key components using Audi drive select, including the steering, engine and sound management, the tiptronic transmission and the sport differential. Configuration of Audi drive select is made even easier with a special button on the RS multifunction sport leather steering wheel so you never need to take your eyes off the road.

Accentuated bumpers with large air inlets up front and a heavily profiled diffuser insert at the rear, flared side sills and a gloss black honeycomb grille typical of RS models give both the RS 6 and RS 7 a striking design and reinforce the performance aspect of the models.

Inside, you'll find the luxury and high quality you'd expect from an RS model. Super sports seats with pronounced side bolsters and integrated head restraints come as standard and are upholstered in a black and blue alcantara and leather combination with a honeycomb pattern. Matching stitching also extends to the armrests, control elements and even the floor mats. The knee pads are also finished in Alcantara and the inlays in carbon with blue thread.

The RS 6 and RS 7 performance both open for ordering in November. Contact us at Lookers Audi for more information.
