Glasgow Audi announces partnership with the ICON Awards by providing fully liveried A7 to help raise awareness and promote the event which celebrates diversity.

The awards ceremony, now in its second year, celebrates Scotland’s thriving LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex) community and looks to reward those who strive for inclusiveness and champion diversity.

Out of 15 award categories, Glasgow Audi will sponsor this year’s SPIRIT Award which will seek to reward an individual or group who has truly gone the extra mile in the name of diversity in Scotland.

Alan Webb, Head of Modern Retail at Glasgow Audi commented: “When the 2016 awards were announced, we felt like we really had to be part of it. For me in particular being a modern retailer means playing a strong part in our community and with some great partners this year we are sure we’re able to help the ICON awards celebrate diversity more widely.”

The Icon Award organisers recently visited the team at Glasgow Audi for a very special vehicle handover.

We caught up with Scott Barclay, Chair of The Icon Awards, Alan Webb, Head of Modern Retail at Glasgow Audi, and Adam Carney, Lookers Group Diversity Manager to find out more about the ICON Awards and Lookers involvement.
