Are you an influential and commercially savvy qualified (ACCA or CIMA) Management Accountant looking for a new challenge? The Management Accountant will play a pivotal and strategical role within our IT department as you will assume ownership for the departments spending and be tasked with the challenge of controlling this. You will develop a strong relationship and work very closely with the Group CFO and the Technology & Change Director to analyse matters such as Return on Investment and Benefit Realisation.
What will your responsibilities be?
Develop, coordinate, prepare and maintain all budgets with direct input from IT heads and Technology & Change Director to ensure ongoing expenditure monitored on “real time” basis.
Design, roll out and manage finance control processes around PO to invoice approval, IT team member expenses and authority matrix approval levels.
Work with the IT supplier and licensing management individuals ensuring sound governance around the deployment and management of licenses, and provides commercial support in procurement of new solutions/services.
Understand, recommend and implement Lookers finance standards around operations, capitalisation, leasing and amortisation policies for IT spend.
IT business case validation, and oversight; challenges business case assumptions and benchmarks the cost within market place of overall and individual IT project work.
Develops and delivers financial modelling using technology director input to create long-term expenditure planning and cost control.
Manages IT financial reporting from all business divisions creating financial reporting and analysis.
Works with the Technology Director and other key stake holders establish and monitor the allocations of cost and chargebacks to the various business units.
Works with the various Finance and Accounting functions within the business division to understand the drivers for IT spend, providing analysis and challenge on key areas.
Create cross divisional IT finance policies and procedures to ensure consistency across the business.
Understands and integrates acquisition IT spend into overall Lookers PLC IT budget.
Makes recommendations in the development of long range plans.
