Service Development Programme Manager

Our Technology team is a centralised function that leads on both business and IT projects across the entire business. Critical to the success of our delivery are our people and we need an experienced Programme Manager who will work with our wider IT team and key senior stakeholders within the business to deliver an exciting agenda of change to the business.

About you:

You will be an energised and dynamic leader with a track record of shaping and delivering IT Service & Infrastructure Development projects / programmes of work which have included a broad range of projects, in terms of size and complexity. In addition, you will have personally led the delivery of projects ranging from small discreet implementations through to multi-million pound strategic initiatives. You will be passionate about delivering business benefit and ROI and in ensuring projects retain this focus too. You will have a track record of working with third parties to harness their expertise; selecting them and engaging them effectively in order to develop long-term mutually beneficial partnerships

Responsibilities of a Service Development Programme Manager at Lookers:

  • Lead in developing the IT Service & Infrastructure Development projects prioritisation and to create a programme of projects that deliver the business objectives and improvements
  • Develop and drive, as part of the IT Operations Management team, the strategy and operating plan for Service Management.
  • Responsible for driving IT Service development projects, continuous improvement activities, across IT Services and Support, infrastructure projects.
  • Lead the service improvement initiatives and plans to ensure that they are captured, scoped, costed and prioritised.
  • Build and maintain customer (colleague, supplier and end customer) relationships
  • Manage the overall programme budget and assist colleagues (project managers and SMEs) in keeping track of all costs in the appropriate areas.
  • Upward programme reporting to senior stakeholders
