The Citroen C4 Cactus Picks up Yet another Top Industry Award

The all new Citroen C4 Cactus picked up the award for 'New Car of the Year' at the prestigious Motor Trader Awards last night. The crossover which was launched in September last year beat off tough competition from the new Audi TT and the new Volkswagen Passat to win the award. The judges which are made up of top motoring journalists from across the UK said of the Cactus: Citroën's C4 Cactus has provided dealers with a car they can make a noise about. With its delivery of fun, functionality and low running costs it is attracting new buyers to the brand making it a worthy winner of Motor Trader's Car of the Year award."

The Motor Trader Award shows the continued appeal of the C4 Cactus, it previously won Top Gear Magazine's 'Hatchback of the Year' and Carbuyers 'Best Car of the Year. The Cactus is the first car to be called a 'Crossover' and is the first car to feature unique AirBump® technology, which helps prevent bumps and scrapes to the car.

Chris Cheetham, Citroën UK's Marketing Director said of the C4 Cactus: By focusing on intelligent technologies and innovative design, we've been able to create a car that not only meets our customers' expectations, but also exceeds them. The C4 Cactus represents the future design direction of Citroën, so it's an extremely exciting time for our dealer network and everyone working for the brand."
