The latest commercial model from Citroën – the Jumpy small van – has been seen on test runs wearing very heavy camouflage.
Previous spy shots revealed evaluation of different Jumpy body shapes, which evolved from the Citroën Tubik executive shuttle concept displayed in 2011. The Tubik demonstrated an ambitious and futuristic style, much of which is still evident underneath the practical revisions for road use.
The design of the latest test model has high-placed headlights, a short face and an 'upright' rear. It feels 'car-like' with compact dimensions, and has been likened strongly to the C4 Picasso in body shape and stature.
With few details confirmed, many rumours are building around the model. There's a strong prospect that it will arrive with solely diesel engine options, and that it will run in front-wheel drive.
The Citroën Jumpy could receive a European release in 2015, with a line-up including a high-capacity people carrier and a 'caravan' with a pop-up roof. There is currently no confirmation on whether the new van is heading to the UK.
