Citroën's C1 to make its UK debut

Citroën is set to hold the official premiere of the new C1 at the three-day Goodwood Festival of Speed, taking place during June 2014. The C1 will be on display at Citroën's main exhibition stand for the whole of the event, and should officially launch on July 1.

The new model is a city car that comes with updated style and enhanced technologies to continue supporting motorists. Citroën has had considerable success with previous generations of the C1, having sold over 760,000 units throughout the world since the vehicle's 2005 launch.

The next-generation C1 will be available as a three-door or five-door hatchback or as Citroën's new open-topped Airscape version. It has the forward-thinking look of a concept with several noticeable crossover design cues.

The C1 has been graded one of the best-in-class in terms of fuel economy, with its ability to achieve up to 74.3mpg. It is also commendable for its carbon emissions, producing as little as 88g/km of CO 2.
