Italian manufacturer Fiat has partnered with Vans, the footwear brand, to create an exclusive concept version of the 500L.
The model has been specifically made for the US Open of Surfing event taking place in August 2014. It's a one-off with an intense focus on style.
Based on the road-going 500L, the new edition sports a bold new front grille with four spherical LED daytime running lights across the model's face. It also stands taller thanks to a noticeably raised ground clearance. The chequered roof contrasts with the special three-tone paintwork colour and smart black alloys – and it incorporates a roof rack with two surfboards attached.
Inside the vehicle, Vans graphics can be seen on the dashboard – adding a burst of colour to the front of the cabin. The seats have also been redesigned in the body colour and with Vans branding. As a prototype the 500L still holds a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which is offered in Fiat's American market.
The 500L Vans concept is not anticipated for a UK release – yet drivers can find every exciting new Fiat car at Lookers in Stockport now. Call us, visit the team or make an online enquiry to book your test drive today.
