What is the Motability Scheme?

Find out more at our Motability Clinic

Whether you have a car on the scheme, or have the disability allowance but don’t understand how you can utilise it to your benefit our Specialists are on hand to provide help and guidance.

If you would like an informal chat about the options available to you, or, just some friendly impartial advice, please contact your nearest MOTABILITY CLINIC.

Did you know that you can apply to join the scheme if you receive one of the following:

• Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
• Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
• Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

With the Motability Scheme you can lease a car for three years.

Even if you do not drive, you can nominate somebody to drive the vehicle on your behalf, as long as the vehicle is used for your benefit. This means that parents of a child aged three and above or carers for an adult can join the scheme.

The lease of a new vehicle includes:

  • • Insurance
  • • Servicing and Maintenance
  • • Full Breakdown Assistance
  • • Window and windscreen repair or replacement
  • • Replacement Tyres

Remember, whichever vehicle you choose, you will enjoy the same ‘All Inclusive package’ of insurance, breakdown cover, servicing, tyres and glass replacement.
