Ford announce more details about the most anticipated car of the year – the new Ford Mustang
The Ford Motor Company – one of the most iconic car brands - has been named by Ethisphere Institute as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companiesfor 2015.
50 years since it was first made the iconic Ford Mustang is soon to hit Europe and the internet has gone Mustang crazy over the American muscle car. Since order books opened for the new Mustang over 500,000 people have flooded the Ford website to configure their car. The Ford website also saw traffic of more than 1.1 million over the space of a month between mid-January this year to mid-February. Ford made the first 500 Mustangs for Europe available to reserve during last year’s Champion League Final in Lisbon. During the 90-minute game an astounding 9,300 people registered online for the Mustang with 500 of those placed in the first 30 seconds.
Ford announced this week they will be launching a brand new app that will allow drivers to charge their electric vehciles from their smartphones. The new app called MyFord Mobile can be remotely connected to a car via a smartphone and will allow drivers to manage the charge and also manage such things as cabin temperature.
After being on the market for only two months the new Ford Mondeo has picked up yet another top industry award. The new Focus will be the first car to feature the ground breaking new Ford Performance All-Wheel-Drive, which delivers class-leading cornering speed. These manage the car’s front/rear torque split, and also can control the side-to-side torque distribution on the rear axle – delivering the “torque vectoring” capability, which has a dramatic impact on handling and cornering stability. The sporty Focus RS will come with a special 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine which will deliver 320PS.
