First reviews of the Ford Fiesta Red and Black editions

18th June 2014

Ford has unveiled special Red Edition and Black Edition versions of the popular, award-winning Fiesta hatchback. The first impressions from industry reviewers have been reassuringly favourable.

In appearance the cars are mirror opposites. The Red Edition has a striking red body with black door mirror caps, front grille surrounds and contrast roof. On the Black Edition, the two colours are reversed. Both have red steering wheel stitching, sports pedals and a red seat trim.

Underneath the individual colour schemes, both new editions of the Fiesta feature a similar equipment level to the ST. The steering wheel, gearstick and instrument panel are positioned as close to the driver's seat as possible without compromising on personal space.

A 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine lends sportier power and aggression to the pair, and the low Sport suspension is similar to that found under the Ford Zetec S. The lighter engine and chassis create greater agility for both editions, and contributes to generous fuel economy of as much as 62.8mpg. CO 2 emissions also reach a low of just 104g/km.

The new editions of the Fiesta are special versions but not limited – Ford has not placed a volume limit on either the Black Edition or Red Edition. Place your order at Lookers Ford now: call any of our UK dealerships or make an online enquiry today.
