In a push to enhance the appeal of the upcoming new Ford Mondeo to business customers, the manufacturer is making more information on the car available six months prior to launch.
Decision makers on the 'whole life cost' of business vehicles have already been given the key data on the Mondeo, including equipment levels and engine sizes. It's unusual for the manufacturer to provide so much detail so far in advance of a release, yet Ford is aiming to create more awareness of the model to this particular customer segment.
The Mondeo is Ford's flagship car in fleet sales, as an enduringly popular model amongst their corporate demographic. It also regularly wins awards for its family car capabilities, notably having scooped What Car's award in this segment three consecutive times. In the new generation, a hybrid version is anticipated as another benefit for business drivers seeking to reduce their motoring costs.
It's expected that the new Ford Mondeo will go on sale in the UK before the end of 2014. More information will be available on the model to individual customers in due course.
