Ford's upcoming Mondeo, due to go on sale at the end of 2014, has made its official UK fleet debut at Loughborough's ACFO seminar. The new vehicle line-up has not yet had its prices announced by the manufacturer, but it is known that the range will include an estate shape, five-door hatchback and a four-door hybrid electric saloon.
Full details on the engines powering the new Mondeo models are also expected to be released in the near future, but fleet buyers will have plenty of choice. The carmaker's 123bhp 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol engines will be available, as will a 2.0-litre diesel unit offered with multiple power inputs.
The Mondeo will feature four different trim levels in Style, Zetec, Titanium, and Vignale, each comprising swathes of sophisticated kit. It will also introduce rear inflatable seatbelts, representing an industry debut and the first time that this technology has been included in a production model. Orders for the new Ford Mondeo will open in September 2014.
