Honda has just announced a brand new Black Edition version of the Civic hatchback. The car was first glimpsed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, and is available to order now.

The exclusive car comes with unique styling, as new black and front side skirts have been added to the bodywork. Similar glossy black details accent the rear bumper, door mirror covers, fuel cap and roof spoiler, and a special Black Edition chrome logo is prominent at the front face. As a result, the car feels sportier and more prestigious.

Much of the reassuringly comprehensive equipment from the standard Civic has been carried over to the Black Edition. This ensures that the car continues to boast a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating alongside plenty of flexibility and convenience.

Engine options are maintained over the Civic range, giving motorists the choice between a 1.8-litre petrol or 1.6-litre diesel power unit. The diesel continues to lead the way for efficiency, posting peak economy of 78.5mpg alongside a drop in CO2 emissions to just 94g/km.
