As part of their sponsorship of the 2014 World Cup, Kia has been running an international five-a-side tournament. The competition finals will take place in Brazil from July 3 to 6.
The manufacturer launched the tournament back in April, and in England alone, 600 teams battled for places in the international contest. Players have been fighting hard, as the prizes include a one-in-a-lifetime, three-day VIP holiday to watch a quarter-final match.
In contrast to England's fortunes in the actual World Cup, a team from West London has made it through as the country representative. Mute FC claimed the win in Birmingham by clinching a nail-biting 8-7 penalty shootout. During the 2012 Kia competition, the England team went on to win overall.
Kia has also held a World Cup mascot contest for children, and one lucky 12-year-old boy joined the official mascot on the field during England's match against Uruguay earlier in the competition. Amazingly, the winner's godfather received the call about the contest win shortly after buying his own brand new Kia Picanto.
