There are four main car finance options when you buy a new car with Lookers:
• Hire purchase – you provide an initial deposit, then pay off the remaining loan balance in monthly instalments. Once fully paid, you will own the vehicle fully.
• Personal contract hire – pay a deposit, contribute monthly payments for a set time period – confirmed at the start of the agreement – then return the vehicle once the agreement has ended.
• Personal contract purchase – make an initial deposit, pay off the amount you borrow to obtain the vehicle in agreed instalments, then pay a dealer-agreed final payment, in order to receive full ownership of the vehicle at term end.
• Personal loan – take out a secured or unsecured loan with a bank, building society or finance company and use the funds to pay for a new vehicle. Loan can be paid off over a set number of years, at a fixed interest rate.

I bought a Peugeot e-2008 just before Christmas and have had nothing but problems since, which are unfortunately still ongoing. Firstly, the car thought that one of the doors was open at all times. I identified this fault on the test drive and was assured that the car would be looked at by the service department after purchase/before collection, and any issues would be fixed. On the drive home after purchasing the vehicle, the fault came back. After multiple visits, which entailed full days of hanging around Boucher Road because Peugeot refused to provide me with a courtesy car, Peugeot were unable to resolve the issue. It became apparent that Peugeot were aware of the issue and happy to sell it, knowing that it would be the next buyer's problem as the previous owner had the same issue before they got rid of the car. Previous support tickets had been submitted to Peugeot France, then cancelled before resolution due to the previous owner not having the vehicle anymore, so as the new owner, the fault-finding process has started over from scratch. At this point, I was thinking of returning the car, and, unsurprisingly, Peugeot didn’t want to take the car back, so they collected it from my house and delivered a courtesy car in its place, but even then, it was nearly two weeks before I got my car back. The V5C to register the vehicle wasn't present in the paperwork that I was given upon collection. The sales advisor swore blind that he had given it to me and that I must have misplaced it and that I’d have to apply for a replacement at my own expense, but before I could apply via the post office, Peugeot miraculously found a "duplicate." Currently, the passenger side front electric window has stopped working, and I am awaiting another service visit, which means spending all day hanging around again unless I pay for a rental car myself. The final straw for me and the cause of this review is that on Saturday I went to my local garage because I got a slow puncture, but they could not remove the wheels to change the tyre because the locking wheel nut needed to remove the security bolts was missing. I called Peugeot, who stated that their cars don't come with security bolts. When I informed them that the one that they sold me did, I was told that it must be one of the "rare" ones. Now I’ll have to book another appointment to have the bolts broken, so I'm stuck with no ability to get my tyres changed, a window that won’t open, days and days spent over the past couple of months wasted hanging around the garage (some of which I had to book annual leave for), and the car isn’t even 2 years old! Generally, the sales staff are pleasant and helpful despite being rather infuriating by treating customers like idiots and telling blatant fibs that they hope you'll take for granted, but in hindsight, I would never have brought this car due to Peugeot’s general incompetence, and I am only continuing to work with them because of the warranty. I had previously bought a car from SERE, which I returned, and hoped that my experience would be different this time around, but it seems all these big companies are the same. My advice would be to think twice before making a purchase of Charles Hurst Peugeot Belfast.

Customer service has been exceptional from first look around showroom to placing actual order. Stephen has a wealth of knowledge and spent a great deal of time going over the finer details such as spec/colour, etc. Great customer experience thanks to Stephen.
Do not use, they damaged my car and them made me pay to repair it! Save your money they dont stand by warranties, so save your money and go to an independent specialist who actually values your business. Roll on all these awful dealers being closed as we just buy online direct from VW and then use our own local garages. Reply to Lookers reply - I contacted your complaints department a few days ago, just had an AI generated email telling me you will be in contact within 14 days or if not then you will let me know when you will have time to get back to me ….. you couldn’t care less about your customers. There wasn’t even a manager available at the time to talk to me when I was in the dealership as they were all in meetings. Probably discussing how to ignore customers and charge them more.
A horrible experience to say the least, i went in to inquire about retrofits for an SQ7 and to look into buying an S3 they had in the showroom and they left me standing around for over 15 mins like a mug, i suspect it was because of my attire, Audi Slough will be getting my business from now on, stay away from here if you go in hoodies and jeans
Location is a building site. Disorganised location (service porta cabin unstaffed). Both dropping car off and collection you have to ring a door bell and have a 15-20 minute wait for service. Car mats moved to access battery left on rear seat. Temporary paper floor protector left in car. Car not washed. Main issue was that work carried out was extortionate price for a simple auxiliary battery replacement. Car booked in with info screen stating "Auxiliary battery replacement". Told on phone when booked would require a investigation but as simple task likely replacement of battery would be carried out during investigation. Subsequent call to advise additional hour work required to change battery. Time taken disproportionate to task, and inconsistent to time car shown unlocked on app. I feel I have been up-charged for no sound reason, and have paid for the recall work completed.
I cannot lie I have had some issues with my Golf Mk8, which have caused me great degree of frustration. If it wasn’t for the service and body shop staff I would have returned the car some time ago and been a lot more vocal on Social Media. They have really help me sort out every issue that I have had with car, and provided me with a top notch service. In particular I would like to thank Claire, Jane and Amy, who have been receptive and attentive when dealing with me. I also want to thank Faye in the body shop for personally sorting out a paint mismatch which came about after someone reversed into my car. VW should be proud, at this rate they will be on my Christmas card list. Thank you.
