Lookers Joins the Motor Show 2016

Lookers has recently announced that it will join other dealer groups at the London Motor Show, due to be held in May 2016. The event, held in association with Auto Trader, will run from 5th to 8th May at London’s Battersea Park Evolution Centre and is described as having a ‘progressive and exciting format’.

“The interest from dealers ranging from family-run retailers to the big listed groups as the opportunities to promote and sell cars at the London Motor Show is recognised” said show director Stephen Maitland-Oxley.

Lookers will represent Jaguar, Land Rover and Volkswagen at the event which is expected to attract 35,000 visitors. The Group – rated fourth in the Motor Trader top 200 - will be showcasing Volkswagen’s XL1 diesel-electric hybrid.

Described as ‘the world’s most efficient car’, this SEV (Super Efficient Vehicle) was first unveiled at the Qatar Motor Show in 2011. Weighing only 795kg this futuristically styled car is said to be the most fuel efficient car in the world with fuel consumption of 300mpg.

Lookers will be in good company. International carmakers who have signed up for the event include Tesla (the specialist premium electric carmaker), Zenos (the UK based sports car brand) and MG Motor.

Other exhibitors include Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Cosworth Engineering and the IMI (Institute of Motor Industry).

Visitors to the event will not only be able to access the latest new cars, but can also take part part in a number of related activities. These will include arranging a road test of the car, or cars, of their choice from the venue as well as information on road safety, new technology, training, city driving as well as family entertainment and some great hospitality too.

The winner of the prestigious World Car of the Year – due to be unveiled in New York in April 2016 – will also be on display.

Tickets, priced from £13, are available from
