What Car, Car of the Year Awards 2015 – Nominations

What Car has announced the nominations for their much sought after Car of the Year Awards 2015 and Lookers are pleased to see many of the brands they represent up for awards in various categories. The awards which will take place at Grosvenor House Hotel in London on the 7th January next year are one of the most anticipated awards in the automotive industry. Last year the Sunderland built Nissan Qashqai took away top prize at the awards winning overall Car of the Year 2014.

This year many British built cars such as the Range Rover Evoque and Jaguar F-Type Coupe are up for awards in the 'Best Small SUV' and 'Best Coupe' categories. What Car Editor Jim Holder said of the nominations: "Our panel of experts has a job on its hands to choose the best car in each category and then the overall What Car? Car of the Year for 2015, which has to be exceptional. "A welcome fact about our list of contenders is that one in eight of them are built right here in the UK – a reality the manufacturing sector should be very proud of."

The What Car Awards are followed closely by manufactures and the car buying public as only cars that reach the highest standards in their class are given awards.
