Peugeot 508 officially unveiled

26th June 2014

Peugeot's new 508 facelift has been revealed during an event in London. The updated range, featuring stylistic redesigns and reduced emissions, will be on sale in the UK from September 2014. The updated Peugeot 508 range will mirror the current model, with a saloon, a SW estate and a 508 RXH estate available on the market.

The exterior of the 508 has seen a series of changes, including a larger vertical grille and sharper lines on the bonnet. The front features LED lights while the back has additional horizontal lights, and a new bumper has been added. The saloon model will also include a new pair of tail lights.

The interior of the car has been strictly designed under Peugeot's aim to have the majority of the cabin's controls on a central touchscreen. This will enable motorists to access information about the weather, parking space availability and fuel prices, as well as displaying vital information while driving. The 508 also helps drivers through the use of a reversing camera and blind spot warning signals contained in the car mirrors.

The 508 is powered by a 2.0-litre engine with 148bhp, and emissions of 105g/km. There is also the option of the Hybrid4 diesel-electric engine, which gives 85.6mpg and emissions of 85g/km.
