Car manufacturer Peugeot and Pudsey the Bear have teamed up to form a 'Dynamic Duo' in a mission to find the country's fundraising superheroes that will help them break through the £1 million mark for this year's Children in Need. To help them recruit their team of superheroes Peugeot and Pudsey have called on dancing duo Alison Hammond and her professional dance partner Aljaž Skorjanec to help their cause. Allison and Aljaž who are currently starring in this year's Strictly Come Dancing Series took to the streets of Gotham City in a Peugeot RCZ dressed as Batman and Robin to drum up support throughout the Peugeot network.
Over the last 2 years Peugeot has raised an impressive £750,000 for BBC Children in Need, and this year with the help of Allison and Aljaž they hope to reach the £1 million pound mark.
Peugeot has already signed up 250 'Superheroes' from their head office in Coventry as well as their dealerships throughout the UK.
Peugeot, Pudsey and the Strictly duo are encouraging the public to get behind the Peugeot network for their Superhero fundraising challenges which will include skydiving, abseiling, swimming and cycling. For those who like a more leisurely approach to fundraising there will be opportunities to show off their baking skills or dancing skills.
Dressed as the caped crusader This Morning's Alison Hammond said of Peugeots fundraising scheme: "These essential funds will make a real difference to those who need it the most and Aljaž and I are thrilled to be able to help PEUGEOT and Pudsey in their mission to break the £1 million milestone. Everyone has done really well in raising £750,000 so far and being involved in this year's efforts is a great honour.
"BBC Children in Need is a charity close to our hearts and we'd urge anyone who wants to find out more to visit the website or even pop down to their local PEUGEOT Dealership. So what are you waiting for!?"
