The Peugeot Quartz is due to make its debut at the Paris Motor Show which starts on 2nd October.
The Quartz uses the same platform that underpins the Peugeot 308, the European Car of the Year for 2014, and follows some of the design cues from the Peugeot Exalt which was unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show, with large intakes, shape edges and chiselled headlights.
At 4,500mm long, the Quartz sits between the Range Rover Evoque and BMW X4, and is around 100mm longer than a Nissan Qashqai.
The cockpit is simplified as it is in the 308 – the number of buttons and switches is kept to a minimum, and information is shown on a head-up display. The front axel is driven by the 266bhp engine and 114bhp motor, while the rear axle is powered by the other 114bhp motor, giving the Quartz a power output of 493bhp.
