Peugeot releases ‘New 108 in 3D’ app

30th July 2014

Peugeot has given smartphone users the opportunity to render their own 108 city car in 3D with the release of a free new app. The 'New 108 in 3D' programme is also available to download on tablets, and it allows the user to browse over 5,000 interior and exterior design options to create their own personalised example. Users can also switch between the 108 TOP! Cabrio and the three-door or five-door hatchback model.

Eight body colours and three roof colours can be specified, alongside a host of exterior decals, dashboard designs, theme kits and accessories. When the final design is complete, every angle can be admired inside and out in full colour 3D before it is shared with friends or family. Further features of the app include a new 108 photo and video gallery, a Peugeot dealer search function and the ability to download a brochure and book a test drive.

Available to both iPhone and Android users, the programme highlights Peugeot's recent focus on smartphones, as seen in the cabin of the new 108. The manufacturer's Mirror Screen system enables the driver to link their device to the vehicle's on-board touchscreen and control its apps from the wheel. Additional cutting-edge technology includes a DAB digital radio, keyless entry and push button start plus a reversing camera.
