Lookers Renault and Dacia celebrate success after £0.5million refurbishment

Lookers Renault and Dacia Stockport have undergone a £0.5 million refurbishment, which includes a redeveloped showroom, workshop and a refreshed ethos. After the significant investment, the dealership is ready for a fresh start, with a larger showroom, expanded staff and a wider offering of aftercare.

Customer seating areas, media clusters and an iPad bar make it even easier for customers to browse and select their ideal Renault or Dacia car and the vast showroom gives them the opportunity to see and drive the real thing. With an extensive selection of Renault and Dacia models, customers are not short of choice.

The new Renault Koleos will be on display in the expanded showroom, boasting a sleek design and a host of driver assisted technologies. The Renault Clio and Renault Captur will also be available to browse and test drive as well as a range of Dacia models, including the stylish Sandero, robust Duster SUV and family-friendly Logan.

We asked General Manager, Sean Burke, which models he was most excited about over the coming year: ‘The Renault Alaskan is a strong contender in the pick-up truck league and we anticipate The Renault Alpine Convertible being a popular choice. The All new Dacia Duster, coming in 2018, is sure to retain its popularity too.’

As a leader in the electric vehicle market, Renault now offers the Zoe and Electric Kangoo with an extended range battery. In addition, 2018 will see the introduction of the Renault Master Electric Van. This puts the dealership in a strong position to offer electric vehicle options for customers too.

It’s not just the building that’s had a shake-up. The rejuvenated team have helped the dealership go from strength to strength, with their customer centric outlook helping the team move from 131st in the Lookers NICER programme to 2nd in the Group overall.

The successful Sales department are sharing their expertise through the Trainee Development Programme, which is seeing great results. Trainee, Jack Pearson, previously a driver with Lookers, has recently completed his training scheme and is now embarking on his career as a Sales Advisor. The dealership now intends to nurture and develop their team by promoting from within.

The Aftersales Department are seeing success too and are now in the top three in the country, according to Lookers’ NICER principles. Thanks to the commitment and hard work of the team, the department has moved forward in all areas. An improved culture and clearer communication across the team has resulted in customers consistently receiving the high standards they expect from Lookers.

The investment in staff training can be seen in the levels of customer satisfaction, with the dealership receiving a 100% recommendation rate on the online review service, JudgeService, a significant improvement from the 15% given in January 2016. Whilst this is great news, the staff are continuously striving to deliver the best service possible. General Manager, Sean Burke, said ‘We will listen and resolve quickly any errors we may make with always the customers’ interests at heart.’

The people centric ethos extends outside of the dealership too. Lookers Dacia Stockport is proud to support The Bitesize Battlefield Challenge run by Bitesize Bootcamp who run fitness sessions for children in schools and clubs across the North West. The challenge encourages children to lead a more healthy, active lifestyle through fitness bootcamps. The dealership is also committed to helping children nationally as part of the Lookers initiative to support BBC Children in Need.

With plans to have the exterior of the building renovated, more charitable relationships in the pipeline and an ambition for Lookers and Renault partnership to flourish over the coming years, the dealership looks set to go from strength to strength. With an improved showroom, site and customer experience, the future looks bright for Lookers Renault and Dacia Stockport.
