The Geneva Motor Show, known for being the Launchpad of many ground-breaking cars, was the perfect place to unveil the all-new Renault Kadjar. The annual show, which runs from 5th to 15th March, perfectly showcased the robust yet elegant, SUV.
Powered by small-capacity Renault dCi diesel and TCe petrol engines the Kadjar perfectly meets today's demand for downsized power units while delivering performance and exceptional efficiency. Fuel economy and CO2 figures are expected to be 74.3mpg which equals the best-in-class. Designed to cope with any terrain two- and four-wheel drive versions will be available.
At home in any environment the Kadjar's compact size and command-post visibility make it the ideal vehicle for busy urban areas; its comfortable interior enables the driver to remain relaxed and focused on long journeys; and it has everything for those who dream of a life of escapism and adventure.
Two boot configurations are possible, offering either a flat floor or a capacity of 472 litres (with seats upright), and the boot can be divided into three areas to prevent items from moving during transit. There is also a very generous 30 litres of storage space within the cabin, providing passenger space on a par with anything in the class.
Innovative safety features are available. For motorway driving the Kadjar can be equipped with Lane Departure and Blind Spot warning systems. This will alert the driver when the car is about to stray into an adjacent lane and could ultimately save lives. Additionally there is also a Traffic Sign Recognition and Speed Alert system to help the driver stay on the right side of the law, and cruise control with speed limiter which maintains the car's speed and prevents it from exceeding a pre-set limit.
Internally the equipment is of the highest standard. The Bose® audio system delivers exceptionally lifelike concert-hall sound through six carefully placed speakers. These facilitate a rich sound to all parts of the car, a digital amplifier beneath the front passenger seat and a sub-woofer in the boot.
There is so much to enjoy in the Kadjar you may not want to get out again!
