ŠKODA has strongly contributed to record UK new car registrations for the first half of 2014, claiming the best six months ever in the market. Across all manufacturers, monthly UK sales have reached the highest levels since 2005.

From January to the end of June 2014, close to 40,000 new ŠKODA vehicles were registered in the UK. The figure represents a year-on-year increase of 21 percent, and pushes the manufacturer's total market share to a healthy three percent. In June alone, almost 6,500 models were sold.

Greater demand for ŠKODA models is being pushed by the versatile Fabia, which is the most popular in the range in terms of new car sales. 6,429 Hatch and 2,485 Estate versions have made their way to satisfied motorists so far this year.

For a single model, the Yeti is impressively popular with nearly 7,000 new models registered. The Citigo and both the Estate and Hatch versions of the Octavia have also sold more than 5,000 each since 2014 began. The success of all models shows that the manufacturer is not just relying on the appeal of a single car – the whole range holds appeal and benefits for UK motorists.
