As this year’s Tour de France cycle road race approaches, ŠKODA has celebrated the event with the release of special edition models named after the famous race.

The carmaker’s Yeti, Octavia Estate and Superb Estate are all available with special Tour de France trim grades, each geared towards cycling enthusiasts.

‘Le Tour de France’ badging will distinguish the range, and all will receive branded waterproof seat covers and bike wheel bags, alongside ŠKODA bicycle carriers. A Centenary edition of the Rouleur Tour de France book will also be thrown in for buyers, and they have the chance to win a Tour de France VIP experience.

Only 198 of each model will be manufactured, and motorists can choose from a blue, white or red paint finish as a nod towards the race’s French heritage.

The Yeti TdF receives a four-wheel drive 138bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine, and additional kit includes sat nav with digital radio, keyless start and go, plus an internal bike rack. The Octavia TdF is fitted with the same kit as the Yeti, but with the bike rack mounted to the roof and a 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine under the bonnet. The Superb TdF will also be based on the Outdoor model, and it will share the same engine and equipment with the Yeti TdF.
