The Vauxhall Corsa offers two versions. For those who want to enjoy real performance, there is the Corsa three-door. For those who need the car to transport the family or friends, then the Vauxhall Corsa five-door is perfect.
Whether the Corsa is three or five-door and whatever the trim level, all models contain certain standard features. They include dual stage air bags for driver and passengers, an anti-lock braking system, Emergency Brake Assist, in-car entertainment with stereo radio and CD player, speed sensitive power steering, and daytime running lights.
The Corsa three-door is available in eight trim levels, from the entry level Expression to the top of the range VXR.
The Expression offers plenty of features to make driving even more of a pleasure. These include map pockets on the back of the front seats, central locking and chrome-style headlights.
The top of the range VXR exudes power with sports pedals, a VXR instrument panel, a VXR rear roof spoiler and trip computer.
The Vauxhall Corsa five-door is produced in seven trim levels including the enticing Limited Edition. This model includes sports suspension, black twin-spoke 17-inch twin spoke alloy wheels, dark-tinted side windows, aluminium pedals, cruise control, a trip computer that is multi-functional and fog lights.
The Corsa Limited Edition is also available in Glacier White, Sunny Melon or Flame Red but whatever the colour, the roof is always Black Sapphire.
Vauxhall engineers have worked hard to produce no fewer than 13 engines for the Corsa three-door and 11 for the five-door range. There are both petrol and diesel powered engines available with manual and automatic transmissions. All comply with Euro 5 standards.
For those with an eye on fuel consumption, the 1.0i 12v Twinport ecoFlex, with five speed manual transmission, should appeal. Fuel consumption out of the towns is an impressive 65.7b mpg. Urban driving mpg is an equally impressive 44.1 mpg, while this engine is kind to the environment with CO2 levels just 120 g per km.
The four-speed automatic 1.4i 16v VVT has a combined (urban and extra-urban) fuel consumption of 46.3 mpg while CO2 emissions are 143 g/kg.
Saving on fuel consumption is the diesel 1.7 CDTi 16v ecoFLEX, with manual six-speed transmission. Combined fuel consumption is 49.6 mpg while CO2 emissions are low at 119g/km.
Vauxhall have added new colours for the Corsa exterior. These include Lime Green, metallic Chili Orange metallic Pepperdust and Guacamole. The interior is equally as bright with seat trims in colours such as Steel Blue and Tabasco Orange.
