The new Vauxhall Vivaro will go on sale in summer promising the functionality of a light commercial vehicle with the comfort and design flair of a passenger car.
As well as dramatically fresh styling, the new Vivaro comes with state-of-the-art technologies and a host of practical, innovative features, both under the bonnet and in the cabin.
The striking exterior changes include a large, prominent grille, headlamps in high-gloss black mouldings with embedded chrome accents, plus daytime running lights with the Vauxhall wing graphic design and crisp LED technology (Sportive model).
The engine range is made up of an entry-level 1.6-litre CDTi diesel with either 90 or 115ps. Buyers seeking more power will gravitate towards the 1.6-litre BiTurbo CDTi diesel which is offered with either 220 or 140ps power outputs. The BiTurbo unit uses two sequential turbochargers to give improved performance across the rev-range but there are efficiency gains too with Vauxhall predicting economy in the region of 47mpg for the new Vivaro.
New Vivaro's high-positioned, dashboard-mounted gearshift, new rake-and-reach steering wheel with infotainment remote controls, six-way adjustable seat with armrest and lumbar support, and clear instrumentation, keep you comfortably in control.
The Vivaro panel van provides a load volume ranging from 5.2 to 8.6 cubic metres and a full width max load length of 2537 mm or 2937 mm. The interior load space is ideally configured to transport Euro-pallets and can easily carry up to three.
The Vivaro features wide side-doors that enable access for Euro-pallets, and rear doors that allow easy load-access. There are also FlexCargo tailgate and load-through options for longer loads which includes load-through hatches in the bulkhead.
Max load length with FlexCargo:
L1 3m to underseat / 3.75m to front footwell
L2 3.4m to underseat / 4.15m to front footwell
The Vivaro's handy mobile-office features (standard on Sportive) include:
The new Vauxhall Vivaro is available in two body design trim levels – Vivaro and Sportive as a panel van and a double-cab with various configurations in two overall lengths and two heights. The combi people carrier will also be available from launch.
