Details about the New Volkswagen Passat
Versions
The Volkswagen Passat Saloon is available in four trim levels: the S, BlueMotion, SE and Sport.
The same trim levels also apply across the Passat Estate range. In addition, as well as the Saloon and the Estate, there is the latest addition to the Volkswagen Passats, the Passat Alltrack.
Exterior
Non-metallic colours come as standard for the Passat Saloon, Estate and the Alltrack. There are also metallic and pearl effect colour schemes available as paid for extras.
Galvanised car bodies are also standard across the entire Passat range.
The Volkswagen Passat Alltrack offers a number of exciting features as standard including the Alltrack badge attached to the front grille, anthracite wheel arch protectors, LED illuminated rear number plates and matt chrome trimmed fog light surrounds.
The All track’s wheels are Canyon 18 inch alloy. There is also a variety of options across the Saloon and Estate ranges.
Interior
Semi-automatic Climatic air conditioning is available for the Saloon and Estate with the 2 zone system also on offer as paid-for options. However, the 2Zone comes as standard with the Sport models and the Alltrack.
The Passat Alltrack provides what is labelled as ’12-way’, electrically adjustable front seats that also incorporate lumbar support. Front seat lumbar support is also available as standard in the SE models.
The interior styling across the range has plenty of chrome decorating the air vents, door panels and dash centre control. The Alltrack interior has standard interior features such as brushed stainless steel pedals, leather trimmed gear knob and decorative titanium silver style inserts.
There is a variety of upholstery available in all Volkswagen Passat models either as standard or paid-for extras.
Engines
Two diesel engines are available for the Volkswagen Passat Alltrack. There is the Bluemotion Technology 2.0 TDI 140 PS 4Motion with six-speed manual transmission. This engine boasts a top speed of 123 mph. Combined fuel consumption is 49.6 mph and CO2 emissions 150g/km.
The automatic version is the six-speed Bluemotion Technology 2.0 TDI 170 PS 4Motion. Top speed is 131 mph, combined fuel consumption 47.9 and emissions 155g/km.
There is a far more extensive range of engines for the Passat Saloon and Estate including petrol and diesel and manual and automatic transmission versions.
Safety
Curtain airbags, airbags for driver and front seat passengers are standard across the full Volkswagen Passat range. Door side impact protection and remote central locking also come as standard in all models.
