Details About the New Volkswagen Phaeton

As the flagship luxury saloon in the manufacturer's range, the Volkswagen Phaeton has the high-class looks and stunning performance that'll turn other drivers green with envy. Please don't hesitate to call or visit us at Lookers Volkswagen to find out more about the Volkswagen Phaeton.

Performance and handling

The Phaeton has a 0-60 speed of less than nine seconds, with a potential top speed of 147mph. Drivers can enjoy the best of both worlds with the tiptronic gearbox, which combines the most useful features from automatic and manual systems within one transmission. Unusually for an elegant saloon car, the model is fitted with responsive air suspension as standard, and will also capably tow up to 100kg on the towbar.

Engine specs and fuel economy

You'll have a straight choice of two powerful 3.0-litre diesel engines when you select a brand new Phaeton, both of which can deliver road-hugging torque. On each journey, drivers will enjoy generous fuel economy from the 90-litre tank, which is one of the largest in capacity of any Volkswagen model, and impressively low levels of CO2 emissions that comfortably meet EURO 5 standards.

Exterior features

The distinctive front end of the saloon is instantly recognisable, and it defines the model as a luxury Volkswagen. LED daytime running lights accompany the new sweeping headlights, and changes have also been made at the model's rear to incorporate tinted tail-light clusters and a refreshed bumper shape. A set of stylish 17-inch alloys is fitted to the Phaeton as standard, and can be optionally upgraded to 18-inch or 19-inch versions on request, in designs that range from refined to racing-inspired.

Interior features

Total comfort is guaranteed on every drive in the new Phaeton, as it's upholstered in perforated "Vienna" leather and equipped with four-zone personal Climate Control. Volkswagen has fitted the car with a huge number of its latest and most useful technologies, from the automatic door locks and multifunction steering wheel to the touch-screen entertainment and sat nav systems – and you can even have Google Maps added to the sat nav at no extra charge when ordering, as well as an electrically powered boot lid and keyless entry.
