New Volkswagen Beetle for 2012
17th January 2012
The Iconic Volkswagen Beetle which has sold more than 21 million units across the world and is due to be reimagined for the 21st century. The first generation VW Beetle was released in 1938 and became one of the most recognisable cars in the world. The second generation Beetle was released in 1998 and brought a new wave of “Beetlemania”. Now Volkswagen feels that it is time to update the car for a third time.
As with the 2nd generation model the new Volkswagen Beetle uses some of the key design features of the original whilst giving it a modern day update and the new model has a sportier look to it than its predecessor featuring stronger lines and a sharper roofline.
Inside the car you will find a new touchscreen instrument panel and a stunning looking interior. There will be five different engine options to choose from, three petrol and two diesel types and there will also be a turbo version available.
In terms of safety the new Beetle will include front and side airbags for passengers in the front of the car, with anti-lock brakes, tire pressure monitoring and electronic stability control all included.
Lookers Volkswagen are expecting to have the new Volkswagen Beetle on our forecourts by March, so please feel free to contact us with any enquiries you might have bout this fantastic looking car in the meantime.
