The new Avant is instantly recognisable from its trademark RS bodykit. A deep splitter defines the 'face' of the estate, flanked by mesh-covered air intakes and feline headlights. The wheel arches have been extended, drawing the eye towards the car's redesigned rear. It also has a lower and wider stance than previous models, lending it a more athletic and purposeful look. Altogether, the car is around 100kg lighter than the preceding RS.
Within the cabin, a host of innovative technologies are fitted as standard: Bluetooth, MMI Navigation Plus and the Driver's Information System on a seven-inch display are all included. The RS Super sports seats in Valcona leather have a honeycomb quilted design for unrivalled comfort. In the rear seats, passengers enjoy increased shoulder and legroom - and drivers in need of more luggage space can fold each seat fully.
When it comes to power, the S6 has been a key inspiration for Audi. The latest Avant receives power from a 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine with 560PS. 0-62mph with the new model takes less than four seconds - an incredible time for an estate car. Speed, performance and handling have all been improved from the previous RS, and the eight-speed automatic gearbox is also new to the Avant.
In contrast to the revolutionary style and performance features, the safety aspects within the RS Avant are as comprehensive as you'd expect from an Audi. Twin front, side and curtain airbags are fitted as standard, alongside ISOFIX mounting points for child seats and ESP with braking support.
The Audi RS range reaches new heights with the Audi RS 6 Avant performance model. Boasting an impressive 605PS and torque up to 750Nm this model can easily accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds. Equipped with a 4.0 TFSI engine, it has a specific management system with increased rpm and boost pressure to the Audi cylinder on demand system. Inside, you'll find the luxury you expect from an RS model.
