Fraser with his certificate from Audi UK
It’s been a busy time for Fraser Ross recently.
In what is believed to be a first for the industry the 19 year old has received not one, but two prestigious awards this year.
Named as ‘Apprentice of the year 2015’ at the Lookers Guild awards held in Palma, Majorca earlier in the year, Fraser has also just been awarded ‘Apprentice of the year 2015’ by Audi UK.
The Audi award recognises only the very best talent and is judged based on a wide range of criteria, including course projects, work logs and practical assessments. Candidates were presented from over 200 UK dealerships which is an indication of the level of competition Fraser faced.
Fraser, who is currently in his 2nd year of his apprenticeship, said he was ‘totally taken aback’ by both the nomination and award and put his victory down to ‘completing assignments on time, passing practical tests and helping classmates’. It sounds like a winning formula!
On hand to present Fraser with his winners certificate plus vouchers for tools and an Audi watch was Alan Helps, Audi, Area Aftersales Manager.
Robin Henderson, Aftersales Manager at Glasgow Audi and Frasers manager sums it up best when he commented: ‘Well-done to Fraser for this great personal achievement, for someone so young, Fraser demonstrates a maturity in his duties and willingness to learn new ideas.’
Same time next year then Fraser for the triple?
