Joining the RS7 Sportback performance and the RS6 Avant performance, the new Audi RS Q3 performance offers even more power and pace. The "performance" in the name of stands for both a significant power boost and exclusive equipment which elevates these models above the rest of the portfolio.
The new performance model is based on the current RS Q3. Its five-cylinder 2.5 TFSI engine has 367PS, an increase of 27PS over the current model, with torque also increased by 15Nm to 465Nm. All of this contributes to a fantastic sprint from 0 to 62mph in just 4.4 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds faster than the RS Q3 , on its way to a top speed of 167mph. The seven-speed S tronic has been specially tuned and the driver can either allow the extremely fast-shifting dual-clutch transmission to do all the work or they can take over and change the gear manually using shift paddles on the multifunction steering wheel.
Additional equipment is also included in the RS Q3 performance model including new 20-inch 'performance exclusive' alloy wheels with a matt titanium finish, as well as cruise control, LED interior lighting and advance key for keyless entry and starting.
The RS Q3 performance is exclusively available in Ascari blue metallic, a new optional colour. On the outside styling features such as titanium coloured window frame trims, roof rails, mirrors, radiator grille and frame and rear diffuser clip enhances the look of the RS Q3 performance. Bumpers with a sporty design with large air inlets up front, a heavily profiled diffuser insert at the rear and gloss black honeycombe grilles all contribute to the distinctive appearance. Finishing this look off is a quattro logo on the front air intake duct and red brake calipers.
Inside, you'll find sport seats embossed with the RS Q3 logo upholstered in Alcantara and leather with blue honeycomb stitching. These blue accents continue in features such as the RS sport leather steering wheel, the selector level gaiter, the centre armrest and the floor mats and feature in the dashboard and door mouldings with a blue thread woven into the carbon material. The colour display of the driver information system shows boost pressure, oil temperature and a lap timer within a special RS menu.
Starting at £49,175 OTR, the RS Q3 performance will open for ordering in the week starting 15 February with the first deliveries expected in late April. For more information please contact your nearest Lookers Audi centre.
