The new Q5 model line introduces its sportiest variant, the Audi SQ5 TFSI, at the Detroit Motor Show. With a turbo charged three litre V6 engine the new SQ5 has an output of 354 hp and delivers 500Nm of torque, all of which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 62.1 mph in 5.4 seconds.
Dynamic driving behaviour is supported by quattro permanent all-wheel drive along with a smooth shifting eight-speed tiptronic. Optional sport differential actively distributes torque between the rear wheels and, along with optional dynamic steering with variable ratios, further enhances the cars agility. This system allows the driver to adjust the characteristics of their SQ5 in multiple modes.Optional air suspensions gives the driver the ability to adjust the height of the suspension to suit the specific driving situation.
Set apart from the base model, the all-new Audi SQ5 will have numerous design features and an expanded equipment packages. These are likely to include S sport seats in Alcantara/leather, LED headlights and 20-inch cast aluminium wheels in a 5-double-spoke star design.
Driver assistance systems, such as Adaptive cruise control including traffic jam assist, Audi active lane assist and Audi pre sense city are picked up from the broad, high-tech portfolio of the all-new Audi Q5. The top of the line infotainment system in the SQ5 is MMI navigation plus with an 8.3 inch display. This system recognises handwritten input as well as common touch gestures used in other electronic devices. Along with this you'll also find Audi virtual cockpit and Audi phone box with smartphone interface.
