What's the best 7-seater car for you?

Large vehicles that can seat 7 people are becoming more and more prevalent on UK roads. Car manufacturers have been making serious efforts to make them more stylish and affordable. From MPVs, SUVs, Estates and Crossovers, larger cars are available in more variations than ever. So, choosing which 7-seater to buy can be an difficult decision as there is now so much choice. It's no longer just a case of choosing a Land Rover. Nowadays, almost all car manufacturers have 7-seat models.

MPV vs SUV - What's the difference?

Traditionally, MPVs (Multi-Purpose Vehicles) were built to be practical and economical rather than good-looking. They were primarily aimed at families and people driving in urban areas. In recent times, manufacturers have begun to build MPV models that are both attractive as well as practical. Many MPVs now have a sportier design whilst still retaining their practicality and increased load space.

SUVs or Sport Utility Vehicles are sportier variants of the MPV. They combine the ability drive on any terrain, with practical, family-friendly body styles.

So, ask yourself do you want a practical, low running cost, fuel efficient 7-seater? Or, are you looking for something a little flashier and faster like an SUV?

Below we've listed 3 MPVs and 3 SUVs for sale at Lookers with variable features.

We hope this will help you decide what 7-seater is best for you:

More 7-seater tips

Seats: Many cars only come with 5 seats and have an option of adding an additional 2 seats, if you're going to be using 7 seats on a daily basis then choosing a model with 3 individual seats are particularly good as they will be more comfortable, and they will be removable for when you need more space.

Access: If you choose a 7-seater with regular opening doors it can be difficult for the passengers in the rear to get easy access in and out of the vehicle. Some 7-seaters such as the Ford Grand C-Max have sliding doors which is great for your back row passengers and also for parking in tight spots.
