Dacia has now sold an impressive 600,000 vehicles in France, less than
nine years since its launch in the country. The 600,000th vehicle was a
Dacia Sandero - of the total number, 232,000 were Sanderos, 150,000 were
Dusters, 100,000 were Logan MCVs and 57,000 were Logans.
In
France, the brand originally targeted used car owners who may have been
considering a new vehicle at the right price. Offering a streamlined
vehicle family with impressive cabin space and desirable technology and
equipment specifications, Dacia's popularity has seen the manufacturer
rise to fifth position overall in the French market.
The Dacia
brand has also fostered a sense of community, with the 2013 Great Dacia
Picnic involving over 15,000 people. The 2014 Great Dacia Picnic is to
take place in June, with record numbers expected to attend.
The
Dacia Sandero is the best-selling retail car to French customers, and
is also highly approved of by UK motorists. It was awarded the title of
'Small Hatchback of the Year' at the Honest John car awards in 2014.
