The stylish and highly flexible seven-seater Ford Grand C-MAX brings driving comfort, space and innovative features to the road. It's the big brother of the Ford C-MAX. Packed with advanced technology, sliding rear doors for convenience and a unique and flexible seating layout, it is the intuitive option for an active family.
The Grand C-MAX wears the familiar Ford family face, making the car instantly recognisable as a member of the well-loved brand. The interior has a high quality feel, with its new, blue backlit dashboard and Piano Black centre console showing that practicality and quality can exist hand-in-hand. The spacious cabin makes for a comfortable ride. The extensive amount of leg and headroom is accompanied by well-cushioned seats and plenty of bolstering to offer side support around those tight corners.
A range of petrol and diesel engines is available to power the Ford Grand C-MAX. The 1.6-litre Ecoboost petrol engine provides excellent fuel economy of 42.8mpg in a combined cycle. Its CO2 output of 154g/km meets the stringent global requirements demanded of vehicles today. There are two upgraded Duratorq TDCi diesel engines available, a 1.6-litre with a power rating of 113bhp and the 2.0-litre delivering a powerful 138bhp. The Ford Grand C-MAX engines - providing either 104bhp or 123bhp - are made of aluminium and have 16 valves, with the aim of improving fuel economy and reducing CO2 emissions.
To complement its top performance, the C-MAX has been awarded an impressive five-star Euro NCAP rating. An Intelligent Protection System (IPS) ensures that drivers and passengers are extremely well-protected. There are inflatable side curtains as standard for those travelling in both the front and second row, and front occupants are also safeguarded by side airbags. Whiplash can be avoided in the front seats with a passive system that protects against neck injury, and there are seatbelt reminders for front, second and third row seats. The Grand C-MAX is fitted with a specialised sensing system that notifies the car which safety measures need to be employed to get the best protection for occupants.
