Land Rover - Drive like a Pro

Land Rover's Pro User Training provides motorists who drive for a living the confidence and skills to perform at the highest level. From drivers of emergency vehicles to instructors, the need for expertise to tackle the roads in any condition is vital. Among those clients that have used Land Rover Pro User Training are UK police forces, paramedics, fire and rescue teams, and the armed forces.

Pro User Training can be tailored according to specific needs and targets. Existing courses can be adapted according to requirements, or completely bespoke courses can be developed in association with the client.

Network of training courses: Land Rover's Experience Centres across the UK offer a range of training courses. Level 1 and 2 driving courses, as well as Level 1 trailer handling and winching courses, are available at most centres, with the availability of specialist courses varying nationally.

The pinnacle of professional driver training: With over 60 years' experience of off-road motoring, Land Rover can provide professional training like no other. Comprehensive training packages include the best selection of vehicles, outstanding facilities and instructors possessing world class experience.

Driving skills: Land Rover's Level 1 Off-Road Driving Course enables motorists with little experience of 4x4 vehicles to become accustomed to the nuances of four-wheel drive cars. Expert instructors will take you on-road and off, advising on leading techniques and instilling confidence in motorists. Level 2 and 3 courses take things even further, teaching terrain-specific skills (including sand, mud, ruts and snow driving), and are ideal for the more experienced motorist.

LANTRA Awards: Land Rover Experience is a registered LANTRA Awards training provider. The LANTRA Professional 4x4 User course is based on the original Level 1 syllabus, but focusses more on the principles of four-wheel drive operation. The two-day LANTRA Awards Professional ATV User course helps all-terrain vehicle users understand the safe operating principles for their vehicles, helping them reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Trainer Handling Skills: The Level 1 Trainer Handling course has been developed to advise novice operators with the basic information required. The course is based on the trailer elements of the Driving Standards Agency car and trailer driving test – a mandatory requirement for vehicle and trailer combinations. Intensive Trailer Handling and Advanced Trailer Handling courses are also available, detailing the best practice procedures.

Vehicle Recovery: A one-day Level 1 Vehicle Recovery course covers the principles for vehicle recovery operators, focussing on on-road and off-road vehicle recovery. The Level 2 Advanced Vehicle Recovery offers a more 'hands-on' approach, detailing the advanced recovery techniques required.

Winch Handling: Level 1 Winch Handling has been designed to teach operators essential health and safety, as well as the practical skills necessary to perform safe winch recoveries in many common situations. A Level 2 Advanced Winch Handling course develops the knowledge gained in Level 1, with a 'hands-on' approach including the teaching of practical winching techniques and more.

Specialist skills: Additional courses are also available with Land Rover Experience. Level 1 GPS Navigation teaches necessary skills for navigation, while a one-day Appointed Persons First Aid course provides essential guidance on common first aid techniques and their application.
