As an attractive entry performance car the new Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC represents the ideal introduction to the world of AMG Driving Performance. The radiator grill, the front spoiler with air intake flics, a front splitter and decorative elements in silver chrome that are specific to AMG make a very clear design statement: a Mercedes-AMG one. Also typical for the AMG: the optionally available multi-spoke 19-inch rims and side skirts. So much more than just a design statement.
The freshly redesigned front end makes use of more aggressive air ducts to aid cooling to the brakes and engine bay. Also new is an AMG designed rear apron diffuser. This comprises of a large front splitter and an AMG rear aerofoil, both in high-gloss black.
The 2.0-litre turbo engine is a new development and is based on the M 260 four-cylinder engine in the new A-Class. The new drive boasts a spontaneous response to accelerator pedal commands, high tractive power, a supremely lively response and an emotional engine sound.
The AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G dual-clutch transmission also contributes to the agile and dynamic character of the new A 35 4MATIC. The gear ratios have been configured so that the driver experiences very spontaneous acceleration in all speed ranges. The standard RACE-START function also allows maximum acceleration from stationary.
