Lookers Vauxhall Warrington Staff Take on 100mph Zip Line for Cancer Research

9th July 2015

Four brave members of Lookers Vauxhall Warrington are taking part in a day of thrilling activities to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Ashley Burton, Brian Sutton , Barry Titley and Anthony Farrell have planned a full day of exhilarating events at Wales's famous Snowdonia Park.

On the day they will be taking on Britain's deepest underground obstacle course, which includes 5km of zip-lining, abseiling, free-falling as well as trying to make it out of the caves unscathed.

What's more the team will also take on the world fastest zip-line Velocity. The zip-line which opened in May this year travels at speeds of up to 100mph above what was the world's largest state quarry and past the stunning North Wales coastline.

The team are taking part in the day of events to raise money for Cancer Research UK, which was chosen by Lookers staff as their National Charity. Both Barry and Ashley have both been affected by the disease recently with Barry sadly losing his uncle to cancer. Ashley's girlfriend's mother also had breast cancer twice and has bravely beaten it both times.

The boys will be paying for all the day's event themselves, with all donations made going to Cancer Research UK. To donate please visit their JustGiving page and give whatever you can.

Best of luck to Ashley, Barry, Brian and Anthony we look forward to hearing about the day and seeing the pictures!
