HOW TO GET MORE RANGE FROM EVERY CHARGE?
Your autonomy (the distance you can drive between charges) can be affected by the way you drive:
SPEED
|
DRIVING STYLE |
TOPOGRAPHY |
WEATHER CONDITIONS |
Hard acceleration, or too much slowing down and speeding up, reduces battery performance. To maximise your range, try to keep your driving smooth and steady.
|
More speed uses more energy, so the faster you drive the more often you’ll have to charge. Increase the time between charges with Eco Mode or B mode regenerative braking.
|
Pulling your car uphill takes more energy than driving on the flat. But the good news is that, when you drive backdown you can recover energy.
|
The temperature affects your battery’s capacity and the energy you use to heat ad demist your car. On average, the Nissan LEAF e+ battery offers a maximum range of 239 miles(1) in summer and 195 miles# in winter.

Nissan LEAF terms and conditions:
Images and descriptions shown are for guidance purposes. In some instances photos are of non-UK specification vehicles and do not represent a specific model, grade or offer. The features shown may not be available or may not be available as standard or only as option.
1Range figures are obtained from laboratory testing in accordance with EU legislation and are intended for comparison between the different types of vehicles. The information does not refer to a particular individual vehicle and does not constitute part of the offer. Figures shown are for comparability purposes; only compare figures with vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. The electric range shown achieved using the new (WLTP) test procedure. Figures obtained after the battery was fully charged. Actual real world driving results may vary depending on factors such as the starting charge of the battery, accessories fitted after registration, weather conditions, driving styles and vehicle load.
2ProPILOT is standard on Tekna and e+ Tekna, optional from N-Connecta grades. You should not rely solely on driver convenience features. Some features may not work in all conditions and circumstances. Speed and other limitations apply. ProPILOT is an Advanced Driver Assistance technology but cannot prevent collisions. ProPILOT is intended for “Eyes on/ Hands On” for motorways only (road separated by Barriers). It is the driver’s responsibility to stay alert, drive safely and be able to take control of the vehicle at any time. For terms and conditions relating to Nissan technologies, please click here.

4Figures quoted for 39 kWh (LEAF) and 59 kWh (LEAF e+) batteries. Indicated charging time based on starting charge of 20% and use of a CHAdeMO (50KW) rapid charger. Time may vary depending on charging conditions including charger type and condition, battery temperature and ambient temperature at point of use. The Nissan LEAF is designed to support the majority of journeys in daily life and is equipped with charging safeguards to protect the battery during repeated rapid charging sessions in a short period of time. The time taken for successive rapid charging can take longer if the battery temperature activates the battery safeguarding technology.
5Connecting a mobile phone to use NissanConnect should only be done when the car is parked safely. Use of the system should always be in accordance with the rules of The Highway Code. Drivers should only use the system when it is safe to do so. Users should be aware of the potential for hands-free technology to distract attention from the road, which could impact on having full control of the vehicle
