Read All About it – Twingo wins 'City Car of the Year, 2014'

3rd December 2014

Top Gear has revealed the all-new Renault Twingo as their 'City Car of the Year.' The 2014 magazine awards, revealed in today's publication, highlights all that is great about the Twingo.

Meet the Top Gear 'City Car of the Year'- the all-new Renault Twingo

Sam Philip, Senior Writer, BBC TopGear Magazine sums it up perfectly: "This is a masterwork of packaging, that knotty art of carving a large amount of space from within a very small wheelbase. The Twingo should be celebrated for what it is: a car that does the business of being a city car better than anything else out there."

Many drivers – or is that devotees? – wholeheartedly agree and have been enjoying the Twingo's unique combination of character with great design and practicality. This compact car proves that size doesn't matter and is packed full of cutting edge technology including the smart-phone operated R & GO system, allowing drivers access to a wide variety of functions, including telephone connectivity, multimedia and trip computer while on the go. The Dynamique model (one of three) further adds to the mix with DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, voice control, TomTom navigation and 3D sound by Arkamys.

Ken Ramirez, Managing Director, Renault UK, added "The all-new Twingo represents a bold innovation in the city car category with its clever rear-engined layout. We were always confident that our latest Twingo would prove to be a hit so I am delighted to know that the experts at TopGear Magazine agree. 'City Car of the Year' is a fantastic accolade and one that everyone at Renault is very proud of."

The Twingo, now incredibly in its third generation, comes with a choice of two efficient petrol engines, three trim levels, including many personalisation options and is priced from £9,495.
