Register your interest in Vauxhall’s first fully-electric vehicle, the eCorsa.
Orders on the eCorsa, the first in Vauxhall’s fleet of upcoming electric vehicles (EVs), don’t open until June 2019 but you can register your interest with Lookers Vauxhall now.
The eCorsa BEV (battery electric vehicle) is inspired by the growing interest and uptake of EVs in recent years, and it’s already building anticipation and excitement ahead of its 2020 release.
The eCorsa will see a more affordable electric vehicle enter the market. A variant of the upcoming fifth-generation Corsa, the battery-powered supermini will also debut some class-first technology. The eCorsa will head the carmaker’s new fleet of EVs.
The new model will feature the IntelliLux LED Matrix headlights. The adaptive, glare-free lights have been fitted to premium Insignia and Astra models, however the eCorsa will be the first in its class to have them as standard.
By continually assessing and reacting to traffic conditions, the lights are able to “cut out” vehicles within range to avoid dazzling and distracting other drivers.
The new Corsa is also lighter than the previous model, and the eCorsa variant will benefit from that weight loss. The body frame is up to 40kg lighter, with another 10kg lost on the front and rear seats.
As EVs tend to weigh more than their non-electric alternatives – due to the weight of the batteries, predominantly – the savings are expected to have a positive effect on the ride and performance of the eCorsa.
You can be among the first to order the Vauxhall eCorsa, and be kept up to date with all of the latest announcements, by contacting Lookers Vauxhall and registering your interest.
