The Motability Scheme at Lookers lets you exchange your mobility allowance for a lease agreement on a new car, either completely or in part. Your Motability allowance alone may not cover the entire cost for the larger or more expensive models on the scheme - these are the models that require an advance payment. The advance payment is worked out by considering several factors such as the cars worth, its servicing and maintenance, and expected value at the end of the three-year agreement. It’s also worth noting that this payment is not a deposit, so it’s not refundable once it’s been paid.
