Staff at Volkswagen Van Centre, Glasgow Complete Great Scottish Run for Charity

7th November 2014

The kind hearted staff at Lookers Volkswagen Van Centre in Glasgow completed the Great Scottish Run last month in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Yorkhill Children's Charity. The 10k run which takes place every October sees people of all ages from all walks of life take to the streets of Glasgow for either a half marathon or the full 10k run. The event begins in Glasgow's famous George Square before finishing up on Glasgow Green where some of this year's Commonwealth Games events took place

All of the team at Volkswagen Van Centre Glasgow managed to successfully complete the full 10k course, with Technician, Professional Boxer and member of the Scottish Commonwealth Team, Connor Hyslop completing the race in an incredible 41 minutes. Together the team managed to raise over £1000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Glasgow's Yorkhill Children's Hospital.

Well done to everybody who took part."

Everyone at Lookers would also like to say massive congratulations to the Volkswagen Van Centre in Glasgow for all their efforts and for raising a fantastic amount of money for two extremely important charities.
