The all-new Nissan LEAF, an icon in electric mobility, has been unveiled, marking the third generation of this pioneering vehicle. With an aerodynamic design, a significantly extended range of up to 375 miles on a single charge*, and cutting-edge technology, the latest LEAF reaffirms Nissan’s leadership in electrification.
Scheduled for production at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the UK, the new model symbolises the brand's commitment to zero-emission mobility. Orders will begin this autumn, with first deliveries expected by spring next year.
Setting a New Standard for EV Design
The redesigned LEAF boasts a sleek, modern appearance with a drag coefficient of just 0.25. Designed in Atsugi, Japan, its aerodynamic body enhances both performance and efficiency. Flush door handles, a flowing roofline, and a full underfloor cover not only improve range but also give it a streamlined, progressive look. Signature front and rear lighting provide the car with a distinctive identity on the road.
Despite its compact exterior—designed for easy city navigation—the LEAF offers a spacious interior that caters to modern families. Features such as a panoramic dimming glass roof with unique detailing, 3D rear lamps, and premium material finishes elevate the driving experience. Drivers can personalise their vehicle with seven exterior colour options, including the unique 'Luminous Teal', and two interior trims accented by a stylish purple.
Innovation Meets Sustainability in Sunderland
Production of the all-new LEAF will take place at Nissan’s EV36Zero Hub in Sunderland, a pivotal initiative for sustainable transportation. The hub integrates renewable energy and a localised battery supply chain, making it one of Europe’s most advanced EV production centres. Importantly, the LEAF has been tuned for European markets at NTCE, Nissan's engineering and development centre in Bedfordshire, UK.
With close to 700,000 units sold worldwide since its original debut, the LEAF remains a significant name in the automotive world. This bold reimagination charts a fresh path, meeting the needs of today’s drivers while paving the way for a sustainable tomorrow.
