The SEAT CEO Jurgen Stackmann has confirmed that the upcoming SEAT SUV will be a 'design you would expect from us', and that the launch is planned for 2016 with the new car making its debut at next March's Geneva Motor Show.
When asked whether a hot Cupra model was in the plan Stackmann replied: "We have to see how far we can expand the elements of the SEAT brand. Cupra is a day to day family car, but also a racer, we need to see if this is something that works for an SUV."
Andreas Offmann, SEAT Vice President for Sales and Marketing added: "The first prototypes are running, there's no delay and the car is wonderful. We are extremely excited."
